Dear friends,
the Circle of One is the 501(c)(3) non-profit center of traditional medicine started in 2000 to help people rediscover health and well-being, with a special commitment to the care of children. Our name serves as a reminder to all that we are in the deepest sense 'one family', and that the Circle of One is dedicated to serving regardless of race, nationality, gender, faith or socioeconomic status.
Aside from our successful clinical operation, we are raising funds for a global project entitled Coming Home - the art of traditional medicine in partnership with modern science. Our project mission is to preserve spiritually-centered traditional medical knowledge by creating a contemporary canon, treatment protocols, teaching curriculum, and training outlines in global partnership with conventional physicians and traditional practitioners so that the Sacred is retained and the profound potential of integrative holistic medicine is realized. In support of this we will:
1. Create a comprehensive canon of Traditional Healing and Medicine. This work will be based on the primary traditional medical systems of the world - Ayurvedic, Chinese, Tibetan and Unani, and presented in a contemporary format. The text will include medical yoga therapy and a comprehensive pediatric component.
2. Establish a community of Partners to Assist in the Integration of Traditional Medicine by collaborating globally with noted scholars, clinicians, institutes of higher education, and hospitals, both conventional and traditional, who share the vision of integrative, holistic medicine. The partners will be instrumental in the continual development, evaluation and ongoing implementation of the traditional medical canon in healthcare systems worldwide.
3. In partnership, design a Curriculum of Study Employing Traditional Methods to disseminate knowledge and training for students, utilizing the text.
4. Create Training Outlines, in partnership, made available globally through the partners for teaching health care students and professionals to be complete healer-physicians.
We are currently seeking financial and in-kind contributions. All contributions are fully tax-deductible to the extent of the law.
Our vision is that spiritually-centered medical knowledge, training and practice be firmly established for the profound benefit to mankind and nature and as a fulfillment of our responsibility as Divine representatives and healers.
We intend to devote five concentrated years to this initial phase of this lifelong mission. We are seeking financial support to allow for focused attention to this project.
