Kourosh's training in the art of traditional medicine began in 1977 when he was six years old, through his father's instruction. It was, however, not until his years as an undergraduate studying engineering that he realized his calling as a healer. Nevertheless, he completed his engineering studies at Virginia Tech, as well as a pre-medical curriculum, before moving on to pursue his passion elsewhere. Kourosh spent some time studying Osteopathic medicine before attending the Traditional Acupuncture Institute where he studied classical Chinese Medicine and Oriental philosophy.

Over the years, Kourosh studied various forms of traditional medicine, the most valuable portion of his education being at the hands of a few great souls in the traditional mode of experiential learning. He has dedicated his life to the study, practice and development of traditional medicine, the treatment of people in need, and sharing the knowledge with which he has been blessed.
